The Brief Bespoke products need a bespoke configurator

Beautiful Baby Collection is a small business founded by a social media influencer specialising in bespoke, handcrafted baby furniture and accessories. Each product is made to order and personalised — customers choose the fabric, colours, and the name or message that appears on the piece, creating something genuinely unique that the client markets as designed to last well beyond the baby years.

The brief was a full ecommerce build: a WordPress/WooCommerce site with a custom product configurator allowing customers to personalise their order directly on the product page, alongside 360° product imagery to give buyers confidence in what they were ordering.


What We Built Every order, personalised from the product page

The site is built on WordPress with WooCommerce and a custom Divi child theme, tailored to the brand's soft, feminine aesthetic — pastel colours, wave-edged section dividers, and product photography that puts the personalised items front and centre.

The technically interesting piece is the custom product configurator plugin. Standard WooCommerce variations don't lend themselves well to this kind of open-ended personalisation — fabric from 30+ swatches, a free-text name field, italic or standard style, name colour, primary colour — so a custom plugin was built to handle the configurator UI and pass the full configuration data through to the order. Each completed order carries the full personalisation spec, giving the maker everything she needs to produce the right piece.

The 360° product viewer is integrated directly into the product page, giving customers a full rotation view of each item before they buy — an important trust-builder for higher-value handcrafted pieces where photography alone doesn't fully communicate the quality.


The Results 200+ orders and a TikTok live every week

The site launched in March 2024. Since then the client has fulfilled over 200 orders, running frequent TikTok live selling sessions Monday to Thursday evenings — using the site as the transaction layer behind a social commerce operation that drives significant repeat traffic.
